Arrival in Germany

We returned to Frankfurt at around 05:30 AM after a journey of almost 18 hours. We have brought back our luggage, gear, all of the participants and wonderful memories. A few participants extended their stays and will return on their own. Our return trip from our accommodation in Nha Trang began at 12:00 noon yesterday when we were picked up and brought to the local airport in about 40 minutes. The flight from Nha Trang to Saigon took 50 minutes. There, we had a stop-over of around 5 hours, during which part of the group passed the time by taking a tour of Saigon and others by going to a restaurant. This was followed by a flight from Saigon to Frankfurt. Barely had we boarded the plane, most of the participants were already fast asleep, so that the flight of close to 12 hours went by quickly.

It feels strange bidding farewell to people you have only known for 11 days and been together with round the clock. I am sure that the participants will stay in touch with each other and make use of the possibilities which have been provided to this end. First, though, we need to pack and catch up on sleep so we can present the first photos and videos in the next days. Every participant will have memories of an exciting trip that will doubtlessly have an effect on their hobby. I hope I have been able to give you a good idea of what the 2013 Workshop to Vietnam was like in the form of a live report. Despite the poor connectivity, I tried to take advantage of every opportunity to report so all those who stayed home were able to follow the happenings as promised.
