Brazil, Vietnam or Tanzania? Our regional key account manager Lars Rieger has an annual special highlight ready for his North German customers – the JBL Baltic Sea Expedition.
The traditional tour started in Heiligenhafen. There about 30 participants gathered in front of the cutter “MS Einigkeit” as the sun went up. It was the ninth time that this expedition, which is designed to accommodate the mutual exchange of ideas for the structure of our hobbies and our activities within the business sector, was taking place. Entrepreneurs and specialist sales assistants were coming together to spend a day deep-sea fishing.
Oops, aren’t fish our friends? So why do we want to catch them? Every angler will probably have discussed this. Doesn’t this conflict with our hobby? We are looking forward to receiving your opinion in this matter in the comments.
The „sailors“ returned to land after more than 9 hours on high sea. We didn’t catch much because weren’t just fishing for fun but for food. The group pulled 40 cods out of the water, which enabled everyone, statistically, to take home 1.3 cods, which we gutted on board. Dinner was assured and a catch without reason was averted – after all we respect the fish.
One participant, however, didn’t feel like eating. Despite the calm sea this trip upset him so much that he was hanging over the rail. Funny – our lunch with sausage stew or rissole burger was really tasty.
We are looking forward to the next year and are pleased to show you some impressions of this great day in the following gallery.
