Following the advice of experts, JBL has changed the grain size of the white JBL terrarium sand. JBL TerraSand natural red white sand had a rather fine grain size of 0.1 – 0. 4 mm. The grain size was increased to 0.2 – 0.6 mm so the sand would not cause problems such as eyes sticking together.

In trials, some of which were carried out in the Reptile Centre in Landau, the new grain size was found to be ideal. The red JBL Terra Sand Rot has not been changed and still has 0.05 – 1 mm, as it is often used in a moistened state in order to shape caves. Like the new white sand, the yellow JBL TerraSand Gelb has a grain size of 0.2 – 0.6 mm.

The white JBL TerraSand Weiß with the new, coarser grain size is already being delivered.
