JBL Expedition: Peru with Rainbow Mountains by motorbike

Have you ever wanted to ride a motorbike through the Andes and see the unique natural spectacle of the Rainbow Mountains in South America's highest mountain range?

After the research tasks and observations in the lowland rainforest on the Amazon and near Tarapoto, the 40 participants will travel on to Lake Titicaca at an altitude of 3,800 metres to experience toothcarbs underwater and the unique culture of the reed boats. If you choose the optional onward journey to the world-famous Inca cult site of Machu Picchu you now have to decide: comfortably by bus or uncomfortably but excitingly by motorbike (as driver or passenger)! And since the Rainbow Mountains are only 80 km off our route from Lake Titicaca to Machu Picchu, since they were laid bare by the snowmelt as recently as 2014, and since they lie at an altitude of 5200 m, we have added these incredibly colourful geological formations to our schedule.
