Last day and departure. Shame, the 6 days have passed unbelievably fast! Our heads are full of incredible impressions and experiences and we’ve never been so close to sharks before. We have come to know them as reasonable top predators of the sea and not as unpredictable monsters, which is how they have been presented in more than 60 (!) films, such as in Jaws or Sharknado.
If you find yourself in a tricky situation in the water involving a shark, always turn upright, keep eye contact to the shark and push it aside if it gets too close (out of curiosity). No joke, this also works for the great white shark! In the following dives, whenever the dive guide excitedly points out a shark passing by 6 metres away, we find ourselves turning back towards the small seahorses, which are more interesting than a single shark on the horizon. Erich also runs a SharkSchool for advanced divers with tiger and hammerhead sharks. That sounds interesting...
