The majority of your aquarium fish are perfectly happy at temperatures of 25-26 °C. To monitor the water temperature created by your aquarium heater, you need an aquarium thermometer. The thermometer can be attached to the aquarium pane from the outside and receives the temperature from the warmed pane or you can choose an aquarium thermometer that is attached to the pane from the inside. In seawater, in addition to the water temperature, the salt density also needs to be checked regularly. Hydrometers (density meters) have been developed for this purpose. The higher the salt density, the further the spindle protrudes from the water and the density. And the water temperature are displayed on scales. A thermometer is only not necessary with the JBL external heaters (JBL PROTEMP e), as the external heaters have a digital temperature display. The temperature in the aquarium is also shown digitally on the display of the JBL CO2/pH control unit (JBL PROFLORA pH Control Touch).
