Product information

Clean and healthy water
Plant and food remains and metabolic substances lead to a deterioration of the quality of the water in the aquarium. Good water quality is necessary for healthy fish and plants. This can be achieved with various filters and filer materials. The filters suck in the aquarium water and remove the pollution and waste materials with the filter material from the water.

Fine filtering
JBL Carbomec activ is a highly actived filter carbon used to remove any residual medication, discolouration of the water and high molecular organic impurities from freshwater aquariums. Carbomec activ is adjusted to pH 7 and therefore ideally suited for use in the pH range from 6.5 to 7.5.

Can be used without fear of side effects
No release of phosphate to the water and nor increase of the conductance.

FAQ
How is activated carbon cleaned before use in the filter?

Activated carbon (e.g. JBL Carbomec and ProCristal SuperClear) always needs to be rinsed several times in warm water and then rinsed again in cold water before use. To protect against unnecessary contamination, we recommend the use of a fleece bag or a fixed filter basket with two layers of JBL Symec embedded.

How long can you use activated carbon in the filter?

In aquariums, activated carbon (e.g. JBL Carbomec activ, ultra) should only be used for a limited period to remove residual medication or unwanted discolouration. We recommend using it for 24-72 hours. Permanent filtering via activated carbon is not recommended, as useful substances such as protective colloids or nutrient carriers contained in modern aquarium fertilisers would also be removed.

È un “must” che bisogna avere per chi sia appassionato di acquaristica. Gli imprevisti sono sempre dietro l’angolo e dopo un trattamento medicinale, come “resettare” le nostre vasche? Proprio con Carbomec.

Consigliatissimo :)

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.
