JBL Expedition to Colombia - the details are sorted

All the details of the schedule, the biotopes, the animals, the conditions on site and the food are available to view. Dr. Wolfgang Staeck and JBL expedition leader, Heiko Blessin, went to Colombia in mid-January to plan all the details on site, as far as they can be planned. Now the itinerary and schedule are fixed. "This is going to be one of our most beautiful "freshwater expeditions" ever,” said Heiko Blessin, after returning from the rainforests of Colombia. "The landscapes and the fish living there in the clear blackwater are incredible. It’s hard to tear yourself away from it!” agreed Dr. Staeck and biologist Blessin.

The optional excursion to Caño Cristales, planned for the end, has had to be altered because the region is closed for nature conservation reasons. But the alternative will be even more exciting. The Rio Claro is a nature reserve with super clear water in a rainforest area and the participants will be able to enjoy cichlids, lots of catfish and characins there. All the details and lots of impressive photos are now online under the expedition announcement on the JBL website: Preview Expedition Colombia I

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.
