Green ponds: Worse than in recent years!

Due to the unique conditions this year (a warm, very humid spring, heavy pollen fall), we have a special situation in many ponds with floating algae growth that is so strong that "normal" doses of algaecides are sometimes not enough. What can be done in these cases?

You change products for the second treatment. If the first treatment was performed with JBL PhosEX Pond Filter *, the second treatment is performed with JBL AlgoPond Forte (Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use. Registered at the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health under BAUA number N-37641) *. If the first treatment was performed with JBL AlgoPond Forte (Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use. The treatment must be repeated twice within 4 - 5 days. The treatment must be repeated twice within 4 - 5 days. This will cause algae to die, lots of them. Even if that is not readily visible initially, it can be seen under a microscope or shown by measurement technology (cloudiness measurement).

Please check the carbonate hardness (KH) afterwards. If it is less than 4 °dKH, JBL StabiloPond KH must be added, then after 24 h, JBL PhosEX Pond Direct must be added for phosphate precipitation.

Caution: This produces a large amount, up to several cm of pond sludge. Make sure to siphon out the sludge, as otherwise, the problem will be back in a few weeks! Nutrients have to be removed!

After siphoning out, use JBL SediEx Pond to activate the biological processes at the bottom of the pond.

With sound and conscientious care, you can have a pond free of algae trouble, even in a troublesome year. Try it, you'll like it!

* Product labels according to EU Directive 98/8/EC: Use biocides safely! Always read the product labels and product information prior to use!

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.
