Michael J. Schönefeld’s newly created aquascaping competition ENAC 2016 (European Nano Aquascaping Competition – sponsored by Aquael) promises to be another attractive event for all aquascapers in Germany. As a part of the new exhibition “Hamburger Vivaristik Tage” on April 9 and 10 at the Trabrennbahn Hamburg, aquascapers will be competing against each other in the Nano Aquascaping European Championship. On Saturday morning the four-member jury (Bernd Terletzki, Aram Schneider, Jurijs Jutjajevs and Christian Witt) will judge the aquariums put on display. On Sunday afternoon at 1 pm the award ceremony will take place. The winners of first to third place will receive trophies and the winner of the first prize will receive an additional €500. We also plan to present each participant with a certificate of participation as a remembrance of this event.
It was not only important for the organisation team to have attractive, finished nanoscapes to present to visitors during this aquascaping competition, but also to provide them with additional detailed information about the scapes. Thus there will be a “scape information form,” containing detailed notes (water values, care products used, plants and hardware list etc.) attached to each nano-aquarium.
Registration starts now. Registration form, judging criteria and any other relevant information can be found online under: www.ENAC-Hamburg.de . The judging criteria are likewise available online. ”Transparent judging“ is a key issue for the organisers. Michael J. Schönefeld: “The jury and I sat down for a long time to work on the judging criteria. We discussed them in depth until we had broken them down into the three main categories of overall appearance, plants and interpretation of the theme to be judged."
The first 20 people to register will receive an exclusive JBL ToolBag with a value of about €90 (JBL ToolBag + Tool S20 straight, Tool SP straight + Tool P30 slimline) as a “bonus” for making your mind up fast.
