The JBL Intern - Projects and my everyday work

Hi guys!

The first weeks at JBL have already passed and I'm already fully involved.

My understanding of the Palatine dialect is also improving from day to day.

Getting up early every day is a big change which will definitely take a few more weeks to get used to. But doesn’t every student know that?!

My daily tasks by now include, for example, helping maintain the social media accounts. This includes  Instagram , Facebook , TikTok , YouTube and Pinterest . I record the relevant video and photo material using a smartphone and a gimbal to support the content with new effects.

In addition, I interact with the JBL Community and answer any open questions. The JBL FAQs ( FAQ ) are a great help here. The questions range over a huge span and serve as a good outline for all possible topics. If there are new, significant questions, we immediately add them to the portal.

Speaking of questions: Is there anything you always wanted to know about JBL? If so, just write your questions in the comments. We will definitely answer them and maybe even make them the subject of a short article.

Customer Relationship Management also forms an important part of my department. We are constantly trying to expand and improve our services and support to ensure your optimal customer experience.

Added to that we deal with regular product registrations and their corresponding guarantee extensions.

And we have also written a blog post about the new JBL outdoor heaters "e300" and "e500" (more information here: Heating in the aquarium. Heating rods vs. outdoor heaters ).

"Influencers" also play an important role in marketing at JBL. I am also involved in influencer marketing and research and evaluate possible cooperations Europe-wide. So here is a short appeal to you: If you are active as an influencer in the field of aquaristics, terraristics or pond and can identify with the JBL brand, simply create a ticket on our homepage and get in touch with us! ( Customer service center )

By the way, it will soon be December again, so work on the JBL Advent Calendar is already in full swing. We are wondering what prizes would sweeten the Christmas season for you. Do you have any wishes? What definitely needs to be in the calendar?

We’ve got more exciting tasks and projects planned for the next few weeks. Among other things, we’ll be taking a closer look at aquariums in our administration building and finding out what a sales representative’s working day consists of. I will of course keep you up to date on this!

So it's worth having another visit to the JBL blogs!

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.
