JBL TV #1: Why do plants need a CO2 system in the aquarium?

We've been thinking about this for a long time. What else can we do to make important topics simple and understandable? In the first step, we have published the three Themeworlds Aquarium Terrarium and Pond . This will not only provide you with a reference book for troubleshooting, but also provide explanations for beginners and for complex maintenance. But let's be honest, you don't want to spend your evenings on the sofa after a long working day, reading long articles. But you might appreciate a video! That’s why, as of now, we’ll be presenting the relevant core topics of your hobby regularly in the easily understandable and interesting video format of "JBL TV". My colleague, the biologist Heiko Blessin, who is also in charge of our research expeditions (more information can be found here:  Expeditions ) and of training courses for our partners in the retail trade, plunged into cold water and came back with JBL TV’s first topic: CO2.

If your aquarium plants aren’t growing properly, it’s because there is a deficiency somewhere. Very often they’re lacking their main nutrient CO2 (carbon dioxide). In this video, biologist Heiko Blessin explains why plants need CO2 at all, why aquarium plants have different requirements and how to connect a JBL CO2 system. CO2 fertilisation for aquariums has never been explained more simply or more understandably!

As of today there’ll be a new video every two weeks on the JBL Youtube channel at https://youtube.jbl.de

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
