JBL ProPond Opening – This is where the pond and koi scene meet!

Today was the day: Our guests from the pond and koi scene came together in Neuhofen in the Pfalz to mark the opening of our new food production plant. They were all personally invited by our general manager, Roland Böhme. The big ProPond Opening will continue until Sept. 04, 2016 and will entertain several hundred guests every day (you’ll find the exact figures in our press release after the event), as they accompany us on the biggest step of our company’s history.

Specialist lectures given by seasoned experts, workshops, guided tours and an accompanying program were rounded off by extensive opportunities to sample our local cuisine and by many expert discussions. And of course in the evening we partied. We are expecting more than 800 guests per day to enjoy the varied program and learn more about the vision our general manager, Roland Böhme, has now put in place. As of today we will be able to put our aim to produce the world’s best fish food into practice. Benefitting from the specialist knowledge of our feed expert, who has worked as a consultant for fish breeders around Europe, we have been able to follow his advice exactly in procuring all the technology necessary, providing the specialist training for the machine operators and building a hall all around them. The result needed an area of 2500 m2 and a height of 17m. And it was worth it! This must surely be the most state-of-the-art fish food production plant – and it will be celebrated this weekend!

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
