Interzoo 2016 –Bonding with ProHaru®

In the first two Interzoo special posts we gave you an outline of JBL’s booth ( Interzoo 2016 – Introducing JBL’s innovations at the world's leading trade fair ) and the global innovation ProPond ( Interzoo 2016 – Global Innovation JBL ProPond with the NEO INDEX® ).

This post introduces you to another innovation. It is the product line ProHaru® which creates bonds in your aquarium, terrarium or pond to last a lifetime.

The demands made on an adhesives are many and varied! A wide variety of materials need to be bonded together permanently and reliably and often even under water! Within the ProHaru product range you always will find the right adhesive to bond anything to anything else – even under water (except PP & PE).

JBL has two different product types for these varying needs and requirements – ProHaru® Rapid and ProHaru® Universal .

JBL ProHaru® Rapid - When you need to glue it quickly

JBL ProHaru® Rapid is a gelatinous instant adhesive which hardens within a few seconds. It is ideally suited for bonding moss and epiphytes to create underwater landscapes. It is also suitable for the easy bonding of coral fragments and smaller decorative objects. JBL ProHaru® Rapid is applied outside the water and completely hardens under water. No damage is done to living tissue. The enclosed tip enables you to apply the resealable 20g tube cleanly.

JBL ProHaru® Universal 80 ml & 200 ml - Automatic dosing with compressed air

JBL ProHaru® Universal is a permanently elastic hardening adhesive and sealant which is polymer-based. It bonds and seals almost all materials to each other, both in and out of water (except PE and PP).

The new 200 ml size in its handy, resealable compressed air cartridge ensures an easy and even dosing of the adhesive. The operating handle allows you to apply the desired amount of adhesive without smearing (thanks to the inner compressed air cushion) – no effort is required.

JBL ProHaru® Universal is suitable for the following applications, amongst others:

  • first aid for leaking aquariums and wet areas in terrariums or ponds. Here after cleaning the site of the leak (removing algae etc.) it can be sealed by applying JBL ProHaru® Universal directly under water.
  • Making aquarium decorations and fixing them in the aquarium
  • Fixing coral offshoots in a marine aquarium
  • Fixing moss and plants when setting up scapes “dry”
  • Constructing aquarium components (filter partitions etc.) from a variety of materials e.g. glass and plastic
  • Constructing a terrarium from a variety of materials e.g. wood, glass, aluminium, plastic

Tried out on-site – Endurance Test

Also at the Interzoo was the world-famous aquascaper Oliver Knott , who set up several “freestyle” aquariums at the Zentralverband Zoologischer Fachbetriebe (ZZF) booth. We passed him some ProHaru® Rapid and ProHaru® Universal which he, of course, immediately tried out. The result was really impressive and won him over immediately!

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
