It was time to set off for Japan again!
And I’d like to tell you all about it. Having arrived in the Niigata mountains after a long journey (24 h) I set off immediately for the first koi breeder. Together with the Kühn family ( http://www.nktropicalfish.com/ ) I drove to Marudo. He breeds very beautiful Go Sanke! The Kohaku (white-red), the Sanke (white koi with black pattern) and the Showa (a black koi with red and white markings) all belong to the Go Sanke. Afterwards we went off to Isa Maruyu, where we found strong red-brown Goromo, Shusui, Goshiki and Shiro Utsuri. We then visited Maruhiro, Hirasawa’s son, where we had a coffee break before we picked some of his beautiful Nisai (2-year olds).
In several days we visited over 30 reputable breeders. That was all we could manage in the time available... .
Would you like to learn more about my Japan activities? Then I’ll be blogging about them in further posts.
Sincerely, Ronny
