Frequently asked questions

What should koi not eat?

Although koi are curious omnivores, not everything is suitable for them. Bread, strongly flavoured foods, fatty foods or large quantities of fruit/vegetables are unsuitable. Vegetable leftovers or food from other fish species can also put a strain on their digestion. Always ensure a balanced diet suitable for koi.

What is the best koi food?

The best koi food is high quality, balanced and tailored to the natural needs of koi. JBL PROPOND KOI STAPLE + SILKWORMS, for example, is ideal - a food with silkworms, fish meal and vegetable components that can be used all year round and promotess growth, the immune system and a blaze of colour.

What is the best food for goldfish?

The best food for goldfish in a pond is high-quality, specially formulated goldfish pond food that contains both plant and animal ingredients. Floating sticks, pearls or flakes are ideal as they decompose slowly, are easily absorbed and do not harm the water quality. A balanced protein-fat ratio, many plant-based components and vitamins, all are important for the health, strength and long-life of goldfish.

What do sticklebacks eat in the pond?

Sticklebacks eat insects, fish spawn and small animals in plant-rich bank zones and open water areas. You can also provide them with special biotope fish food, which contains animal and plant components and reaches all water zones as sinking food.

What does the minnow eat?

Minnows feed on insect larvae, zooplankton, small crustaceans, algae remains and plant parts. A high-quality, sinking biotope fish food that supplements their natural diet with animal and plant components is suitable for specific feeding.

Which food for sturgeons?

Sturgeons require sinking, protein-rich special food with a high fish meal and fish oil content - pellets of a suitable size for the mouth opening are ideal. A good sturgeon food promotes growth, is easily digestible and reaches the bottom of the pond directly, as sturgeons are pure bottom feeders. High-quality feed mixtures with salmon, shrimps, tubifex and mussels, for example, ensure a natural, healthy diet.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
