Product information

Clean pond water – optimal water quality
Water cloudiness can be caused by algae, fish excrements or other wastes. JBL’s trouble shooters have been specially created for all types of water cloudiness and treat the pond water without any harmful side effects for the dwellers.

JBL’s zero-risk concept
Algae can pollute the pond water and thus cause damage to the fish and the plants in the pond. In collaboration with scientists JBL has developed a concept for a permanent removal of algae.

“1-2-3 algae-free”
Stabilise the water: increase the mineral content for anti-algae agents (JBL StabiloPond) to work more effectively Combat algae: add a suitable anti-algae agent (JBL AlgoPond) into the water Limit nutrients: remove the nutrients of dying algae (JBL PhosExPond)

PhosEx Direct is easy to use
Determine the required quantity. Mix with pond water in a watering can and spread it evenly over the pond. Use preventatively every six weeks and after each algae combat. Do not pour on floating water lily leaves. Do not bathe in swimming ponds for 24 hours after use.

Dosage 40 ml per approx. 800 l pond water.

FAQ
Can I use several anti-algae agents together in the pond?

Each JBL anti-algae agent has a special purpose. It is therefore not necessary to use several AlgoPond products at the same time. Use AlgoPond Green to combat green water. Use AlgoPond forte for thread algae and all other types of algae. If you want to change the product, allow a time interval of 14 days, a water change of at least 50 % and filtering via activated carbon. The products StabiloPond and PhosEx may, of course, be used together with an AlgoPond algae agent according to the 1-2-3 algae-free principle.

How high is the binding capacity of 500 ml PhosExPond Direct?

500 ml JBL PhosExPond Direct adsorbs up to 22,500 mg phosphate.

Can I use JBL PhosEx Pond Direct directly after JBL AlgoPond?

Do not use JBL PhosExPond Direct directly after JBL AlgoPond Forte. It is better to wait for about 3-4 days, until the algae have been visibly reduced and the nutrients, stored in the algae cells, have been released. Only then is the phosphate precipitation with JBL PhosExPond Direct useful and effective.

The same also applies to the control of thread algae with JBL AlgoPond Direct and the follow-up treatment with JBL PhosEx Pond Direct.

Can JBL PhosEx Pond Direct be used in stainless steel tubs?

JBL PhosEx Pond Direct attacks inferior stainless steels. Because an assessment of the used steels without technical data sheets is not possible, we recommend not using JBL PhosEx Pond Direct in stainless steel tubs.

How much time should pass after the application of JBL PhosEx Pond Direct before the UVC water clarifier can be put back into operation?

There is no general answer to this question.

JBL PhosEx Pond Direct binds the soluted phosphates present by means of a chemical precipitation, which means a transformation into a non- (or under certain chemical conditions) water soluble form. How much time now has to pass before a UVC water clarifier is put again into operation strongly depends of the circulation rate, which means how long it needs till the whole water has passed the pond filter.

Furthermore the existing current / water movement in the pond and the way that JBL PhosEx Pond Direct is added has to be taken into consideration. The time period is shorter with an extensive distribution, i.e. with a (plastic) watering can and with a good water movement than with an addition concentrated in one spot in a garden pond with slow water movement.

Besides the distribution the water temperature is also relevant (though this only needs to be mentioned in passing here).

The switch-off period needs to be at least twice as long as it takes for the pond water volume to completely circulate. To be on the safe side with the phosphate precipitation a turn-off time period of 48 hours can be considered as being sufficient.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.
