Spring, sunshine, Easter and the JBL competition

This year the search for Easter eggs has been cancelled, at least for us. But there’s still a colourful prize at the Easter Competition 2024 . A lighting set consisting of our brand new JBL LED SOLAR NATUR (gen 2) high-performance lights and the matching JBL LED SOLAR EFFECT (gen 2) . It's worth joining in, because the 2nd generation of lights has a lot of new things to offer. For example, the power consumption has been reduced by 20 %. Who wouldn't welcome that with the current energy prices? And your plants won't miss out either, as test aquariums have very clearly shown how they reach a full spectrum which in turn brings visible improvements in aquarium plant growth in the shortest time. The PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) values they achieve of over 200 remain the best in the world.

How can you win?

As always with us, it's very easy. So what do you have to do? Answer a question about your routine aquarium chores by April 1, 2024.

There are two sparkling sets to aim for. But don't worry, there's also something to win for everyone. Nobody goes away empty-handed. So go, go, go and enter the Easter Competition 2024 quickly.

Do you have further queries about lighting? Then you will find the article on Lighting . And if you want to know more about what the PAR value means and how important it is for aquarium plants, we recommend the following video:

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
